Ben Platt ’11 sang the National Anthem to commence the July 4 Washington Nationals game against the San Francisco Giants at Nationals Park.
Platt will play Evan Hansen in the new musical “Dear Evan Hansen” in Washington D.C. from July 10 to Aug. 23.
Platt has previously performed in “The Book of Mormon” as Elder Cunningham in Chicago in 2012 and 2013 and on Broadway in 2014. He also acted in “Pitch Perfect” and “Pitch Perfect 2” as Benji Applebaum.
